70% of women who have endometriosis only get diagnosed around their 8th visit to the doctor. By then, the amount of scar tissue has left so much damage that it cannot be treated- resulting in infertility. Women need to understand what endometriosis looks and feels like, so that the next time they go to their doctor they can ask to be examined appropriately. Women need to know that pain is not simply 'part of being a women'.
